The economic crisis, regional policy and the major role of SMEs were the hot topics on the agenda of last week's Bureau meeting in Sofia. Bulgaria has been badly affected by the crisis and is pushing for a coordinated European response, emphasising also the positive effect of the EU's regional policy on less prosperous Member States.
